Cryptomain Review – Cloud Mining SCAM?

We are posting this Cryptomain Review because yesterday, on November 28, 2022, one of our partners received the following complaint about them from a person who says they lost $20,000 on the platform:

My son, and I put this money into cryptomain. Now this company will not release anything we put in or have earned without “validating” the account with an additional ~$5,300. […] The guy helping us goes by Technical expert.

What is Cryptomain?

Cryptomain offers cloud mining of cryptocurrencies.

They claim to be one of the leading cryptocurrency mining platforms.

Because mining (producing) of cryptocurrency is an expensive process some cloud mining service providers rent out some of their processing resources.

The client purchases a certain amount of “hash power,” which is the computational capability in a machine that is used for crypto mining.

It’s almost as if you are buying shares of a company and then receiving a part of their revenue.

This allows you to make money of crypto mining without actually managing any hardware involved in the process.

Cryptomain is involved in mining of

  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • Litecoin (LTC)
  • Dogecoin (DOGE)
  • Tron (TRX)

They offer a 5% per day net profit when you buy 50 Gh/s, which stands for Giga (billion) hashes per second.

The price for 50 Gh/s is $50 and you can the first 50 Gh/s free when you register.

Then, you can buy additional mining power “to earn up to 5% net profit daily.”

You may also invite friends to the platform in order to increase your mining power.

The first step to get started is to create a wallet address with a website such as MetaMask (Ethereum), BlockChain Wallet (Bitcoin), Klever (TRX), Coinomi, MyEtherWallet, Atomic Wallet, Trust Wallet, Exodus, etc.

You can also use exchange wallets, such as Binance.

The next step is to create a mining account by entering your wallet address, selecting a currency, and clicking the Start mining button.

The final step is to add power, which means paying for hash power. The more power you buy, the less commissions you will need to pay.

You will then allegedly make a daily profit.

The minimum withdrawal amount is 0.02 USD.

For some payment directions, separate conditions may be established for the minimum amount of withdrawal from the System and the procedure for servicing.

According to the Terms & Conditions document, withdrawal of funds is automatic. “In the event that inaccurate, incomplete data on the withdrawal system is provided by the client, the withdrawal of funds does not occur, and the withdrawal request is rejected until all inaccuracies and data are corrected or clarified.”

Who Is Behind Cryptomain Cloud?

The partner who received the complaint we started this review with, has an older Cryptomain review from Aug 23, 2018. That review was about the domain cryptomain.biz.

Nowadays, Cryptomain.biz seems to have become a part of a PBN (Private Blog Networks), which is a network of fake blogs designed to drive SEO juice, or improve search engine rankings of a specific website.

The domain where we find Cryptomain today is Cryptomain.cloud.

There is no About us page at cryptomain.cloud.

And we see no information about the company who is behind the website, such as a company name, registered address, telephone numbers, or even an email address.

There are also no LinkedIn profiles, but we do find links to a Telegram account as well as to two Facebook accounts:

Cryptomain Cloud LTD has 303 FB followers. According to its intro, “CRYPTOMAIN is one of the leading cryptocurrency platform for mining. Sell or buy computing power and.”

Their address is: Koumarwei 2, 9251 ML Burgum, Netherlands, Bergum, Netherlands. (This is the address of the Burgum power station.)

Cryptomain’s Address according to Google Maps is really the address of a power station!

Phone number: +31 6 53964794. (+31 is the Netherlands area code.)

Martin Andres, according to his Facebook profile (facebook.com/MartinAndresCoreEnergetics/), is a Data architect/data engineer from Rotterdam, Netherlands, whose interests include Business & Data Analysis as well as “People Development.”

He works as a Data Center Engineer, Cloud & Partner Pursuit Manager, and Director at Cryptomain Cloud LTD.

The images of Martin Andres on his Facebook address seem to be fake and can be found in multiple places online with different names, such as at regtalk.pro where his name is Smith Brown.

There is also a live chat widget on cryptomain.cloud. We tried sending a message there, but did not receive a response.

Other than the homepage, there are only two additional English cryptomain.cloud pages indexed on Google, a privacy policy and terms of use.

In the privacy policy we find the following email address: support@cryptomaincloud.com.

Also, we find some spelling mistakes, such as “Website refers to Cloud crypto mining, accessible from https://cryptomain.colud [sic].”

Cryptomain Review: Domain Information

The domain cryptomain.cloud was registered on July 4, 2022 for one year via the NameSilo, LLC registrar. The identity of the owners of the site is hidden through the Privacy service PrivacyGuardian.org.

So the domain is very new, but old enough so that there should be ample evidence online to indicate if cryptomain.cloud is a legitimate website or a scam.

It is also very popular with a global rank of 104,613 and a total of around 612,700 visits in October 2022, according to SimilarWeb.

Their Semrush Authority Score is 13 with no backlinks from any legitimate or trustworthy websites.

Cryptomain Reviews

Next we turn to Google to see if there are any Cryptomain scam reviews.

We find a Facebook group named Cryptomain Official with 7,100 members, but they are promoting the website with a referral link which indicates it may belong to an affiliate and not to Cryptomain themselves.

We also discover that in addition to cryptomain.biz, other domains used by Cryptomain before include cryptomain.site.

On scamadviser.com, we find very negative reviews with an average rating of 2.1 based on 18 reviews. However, most if not all of these reviews are not real and were posted by fake scam recovery companies.

On trustpilot.com, cryptomain.cloud has a 2.9 rating based on 11 reviews. One reviewer wrote on Oct 9, 2022:

Update I have reach minimum withdrawal and I withdraw my money and they say.. amount including commission is too small to reduce the commission and invite active partners or purchase power by investing. I think this website is fake because you have to invest in order to withdraw waste of time.

On October 29, 2022, someone wrote: “This site is definately fake and will be expose on my social and youtube platform….Fake and big hungry scammers….”

Additionally, we were found many claims that withdrawals do not work, including in replies to Martin Andres on Facebook and on various YouTube videos.

Cryptomain Review – Bottom Line

Unfortunately, we believe that Cryptomain is a SCAM!

It has all the hallmarks of crypto cloud mining scam such as profit promises which are too good to be true with exceptionally high yields of 5% per day.

With multiple scam reports, a fake address, no company information, amateur website, and no available support, there’s little doubt in our mind Cryptomain is not a legitimate website.
