Iotspynet Review – Can you trust IoT Spy Net?

Welcome to our Iotspynet review, in which we examine iotspynet.com. IOTSpy Net stands for “Internet of Things Spy Net.” (The Internet of Things, or IoT, refers to objects that have sensors, processing capabilities, software, and other technologies, which enable them to connect and exchange data with other devices and systems via the internet or other communication networks.)

On February 6, 2023, the following complaint was filed with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) by a US person who claims losing $800 to a cryptocurrency scam:

I lost cryptocurrency due to a hacking incident and reached out to iotspynet for help. Despite being aware that the chances of retrieving my stolen crypto were low, they claimed that they could recover it. They informed me that they had located the funds and asked me to deposit $800 into a specific ledger to retrieve it. However, I did not comply as it was clear that it was a scam.

The scam artists used Telegram agents to communicate with me, and I participated just to see where it would lead. They later admitted to their mistake and promised to refund my crypto, all through email. These people operate under the radar and are scamming individuals who have already been hacked. They are promoted on the TrustPilot website, but my posts about them on the site were deleted, which suggests that the site is enabling these scams and putting people at risk of being scammed again.

I have also posted about my experience on other sites and discovered that others have also fallen victim to their scam. Although iotspynet has a professional-looking website, these people are fraudsters. I hope someone will thoroughly investigate them before more people become victims of their scams.

We have therefore decided to be the ones who will conduct a thorough investigation into them.

So is Iotspynet legit or a SCAM?

Based on the text on their website, IOT Spy Net seems to be a company that specializes in cybersecurity, private investigations, and the tracking and recovering of lost funds and cryptocurrency.

They offer a variety of services, including asset tracing, funds tracking, email security, social media hacking, fraud investigation, secure devices, and private investigation.

On TrustPilot there is a IOT SPY NET page which is rated 3.9/5 based on 8 reviews. The reviews are mixed. One reviewer had a negative experience with the company regarding retrieving lost crypto.

On SiteJabber there is one review:

Totally a scam. Before proceeding, make sure to give them all the necessary details. After you have paid, they will provide nothing but excuses. If you try to resolve the issue, they will extort more money from you.

There’s also a Reddit thread which discusses the legitimacy of iotspynet. While some reviews say it is trustworthy, others claim it is a scam. One commenter warns that iotspynet is a recovery scam, which targets people who have already fallen for a scam.

Their copyright notice says “IOT Spy Net © 2022” even though it’s already 2023.

There are also other indications that suggest this company may be a scam:

    • The website claims to be a “groundbreaking capability” platform, but does not provide any details about how their technology works or what makes it unique.
    • The website offers to recover lost or stolen funds or cryptocurrency, which is a common scam tactic. Legitimate companies can offer recovery services, but it’s important to be cautious and do your research before trusting any company with your assets.
    • The website offers a “free trial” without any clear explanation of what the trial includes or how it works. This could be an attempt to lure people into providing personal information or paying for services that they do not need.
    • The website contains several grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, which suggests that it may have been written by non-native English speakers or automated software. This is not necessarily a sign of a scam, but it can be a warning sign when combined with other factors.

    Bottom Line

Iotspynet.com, a website offering cybersecurity services and recovery of lost funds and cryptocurrency, has been reported to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) by a victim of a scam. The complainant alleges that the site’s Telegram agents claimed to have retrieved their stolen cryptocurrency but requested an $800 deposit to return it. They did not comply, but others have reportedly fallen victim to the same scam.

While Iotspynet claims to provide professional cybersecurity services and has positive customer reviews, there are a number of red flags that suggest it may be a scam, including low popularity and domain rating scores and no links from trustworthy sites.
