On April 1, 2023 we received the following complaint by a person who claims being scammed for $8,000 by FinanceMetrics:
I was in a relationship with a person who turned out to be a scammer. He advised me to invest in a company based in England called www.finance-markets.net using my Bitcoin. Although I could see some profits, I have not been able to withdraw any funds from my investment. Thank you.
So what is Finance-Markets.net and is it a SCAM?

The domain finance-markets.net was registered on February 28, 2023 for one year through PDR Ltd. d/b/a PublicDomainRegistry.com and hosted by Tier.Net Technologies LLC. The registrant is Guthrie Hoffman from the organization Common Links Communications located at:
56 Adeola Odeku Street, Lagos Island, Lagos, Nigeria 101283. According to Google Maps, there are two businesses at this address: Guaranty Trust Bank PLC (a bank) and Investment Financial Services Limited (a business management consultant).

The website name is Finance Metrics, which appears to be a Cryptocurrency Investment Platform.
Their email is: admin@finance-markets.net.
Location: 44 Whitfield Street, London, United Kingdom, W1T 2RH. According to Google Maps, in this address two businesses are located: Channel Capital Advisors LLP (an investment service) and Edge Foundation (a non-profit organization).

The website belongs to a UK registered cryptocurrency investment company called finance-metrics. They claim to have professional employees and miners managing investments, secure transactions, instant withdrawals, verified security, and 24/7 live customer support. The website offers five investment plans with daily returns of 5% to 15%, ranging from a minimum deposit of $100 to an unlimited amount. The website provides basic information about cryptocurrencies, including their decentralization, security, and fast development. It also has testimonials from investors and a subscription service. The website provides several services, including annual reports, Forex, cryptocurrency, stocks, and more.
According to their About page, Finance-Metrics is a cryptocurrency investment company based in the United Kingdom with one of the world’s largest gold reserves. Their mission is to help investors generate more income investing in gold using cryptocurrency. They offer smart investment and trading services with frequent payouts for both small and large investors. They have partnerships with clients and offer various investment options, including forex, cryptocurrency, and stocks. Finance-Metrics aims to provide a safe and secure investment platform with innovative ideas and the latest business technology.
Links to Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest, and Instagram on the page do not work and lead nowhere.

Links to a White Paper and Annual Report are broken, but they have a “Certificate of Incorporation of a Private Limited Company,” according to which “the registrar of Companies in England and Wales, hereby certify that Finance Metrics is this day incorporated […] on 10th November 2018.” The company number is 54106119.
The copyright line says “Copyright © 2023 Channeldigitalfinance.”
This company number does not exist on the UK Companies House website, however we did find a registered company called CHANNEL DIGITAL FINANCE LIMITED with company number 12367450 with their registered office address at 44 Whitfield Street, London, United Kingdom, W1T 2RH.
They are an active private limited company incorporated on December 17, 2019 to engage in financial intermediation not elsewhere classified. Previously they were called CHANNEL INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT LIMITED.
The company’s officers are the Secretary, Walter Joseph Gontarek as Director and Chief Executive Officer, Deborah Jane Hutchinson as Director and Chief Operations Officer, Ian Watson as Director, and Kristian John Wilson as Director and Chief Technology Officer.
So the title of finance-markets.net is “Finance Metrics,” they also refer to themselves as “Channeldigitalfinance,” and we find almost the same exact website on all three websites: channeldigitalfinance.com, finance-metrics.com, and finance-markets.net.
And on the Stocks page, we find a long text that beings with “Long gone are the days when stock trading was reserved for the billionaires.” We find this text in other scammy looking websites, such as:

Some of the text on the website was copied from legitimate websites, such as chpscc.org. They copied a text about “An excellent Audit service is necessary for any company to be financially sound” from this page.
ChannelDigitalFinance.com – a FinanceMetrics Clone
The domain channeldigitalfinance.com was registered on September 25, 2022 for one year through Hostinger, UAB. It is hosted by HOSTINGER US. It has a 2% Semrush Authority with 2 backlinks from 1 referring domain (trustedrevie.ws).

They promote Shareholder Returns, which appears to be an investment program that offers various investment plans with daily returns ranging from 5% to 15%.
Each investment plan has a minimum and maximum deposit amount and promises a certain percentage of total profit within a specified period.
The investment plans include Bronze, Premium, Platinum, Diamond, and VIP, with increasing daily returns and minimum deposit requirements.
The referral commission is 5% for all plans except the VIP plan, which offers a higher commission of 10%.
It is important to note that high returns with low risk are often too good to be true, and there is always a risk associated with any investment.
Finance-Metrics.com – Another FinanceMetrics Domain
The domain finance-metrics.com was registered on October 27, 2022 for one year through NameSilo, LLC. It is hosted by Tier.Net Technologies LLC, like finance-markets.net. It has only one backlink from a domain directory.

Interestingly, there’s another Nigeria website, a blog called Finance Metrics NG, found at financemetrics.com.ng, owned by Yusufu Maji from Gwagwalda, Abuja, Nigeria.
Bottom Line – FinanceMetrics is a SCAM!
To conclude our investigation, we found three almost identical websites – finance-markets.net, channeldigitalfinance.com, & FinanceMetrics (finance-metrics.com) – that we believe are all owned by the same person, possibly a Nigerian or Ukrainian person.
They offer a cryptocurrency investment platform claiming to provide professional employees and miners, secure transactions, instant withdrawals, verified security, and 24/7 live customer support, the but it’s actually a scam designed to rob people of their hard earned funds.
